To Sleeve or Not to Sleeve is the question that I have been contemplating for some time now.
I have a few games that I have purposefully sleeved the cards of my board game with the goal of making the game last for a very, very long time (especially if it is played often and/or out-of-print).
COVID-19 had a huge global impact on 2020 and it is still impacting the world on the first day of 2021 and likely for the foreseeable future still. This pandemic has undoubtedly impacted you or someone you care about. In regards to the board game community, it has likely moved a lot of the traditional face-to-face board games to an online forum (more about this in a separate post soon) as compared to the usual in person gaming event.
So around the summer of 2020, I was thinking about my board game collection and if I should start to sleeve my games or not. Obviously, I would not sleeve all of them (as I have far too many, more about this in future posting); however, like I stated above, perhaps I would consider sleeving some of the titles that are played the most often or especially those board games that are rare and/or out-of-print.
What are your thoughts around this topic? Do you sleeve your cards? If so, what board games, have you sleeved?
